The National Alliance of Agricultural Cooperatives in Uganda (NAAC) has announced a new initiative aimed at enhancing digital access and support services for primary co-operative societies across the country. Established to address persistent operational and service gaps within the agricultural sector, NAAC is scaling up its outreach to help local farmers streamline their operations and reach broader domestic and regional markets. Through this initiative, agricultural co-operatives will gain improved access to technical training, resource materials, and direct advisory support. Representatives from NAAC highlighted that bringing primary societies onto unified digital platforms will enable smallholder farmers to pool resources more efficiently, access real-time market data, and improve crop yields.
